 Product Overview

 

The counter flow closed cooling tower gets its name from the opposite flow directions of heat‑transfer medium and spray medium. Spray water is sprayed downwards from the top, while air flows upward at high speed from the bottom. It is mainly composed of heat‑exchange coils (condenser), spray water system, exhaust system and frame shell.

This unit contains two independent circulation loops:

1.Internal circulation: Circulating water heated by heat‑source equipment (medium‑frequency power cabinet, melting furnace body, etc.) flows into heat‑exchange coils for heat dissipation. After being cooled inside coils, the circulating water is pumped back to heat‑source equipment for closed‑loop reuse. Soft water is normally adopted for internal closed‑circuit circulation, which effectively inhibits scale formation, reduces pipeline blockage risks, delivers high cooling efficiency and low failure rate with relatively low initial investment.

2.External circulation (spray loop): Water is pumped from the water tank to the spray system. Spray water contacts the outer surface of coils and dissipates heat by evaporation; hot‑humid steam is exhausted by fans.

Notes: Hard‑quality spray water will cause stubborn limescale deposits on coil outer walls. Hard scale is hard to remove and leads to sharp cooling‑capacity drop. If the power cabinet and furnace body share one cooling system, high‑power pump stations are required. Pumps keep running even under furnace‑stop status, bringing high power consumption. Besides, high outlet water temperature from furnace will worsen internal thermal environment of power cabinet and accelerate aging & damage of electronic components.

Application Scenarios: Sites where evaporative cooling is permitted; spray water for external circulation is soft‑quality or equipped with water softening treatment.

5.Long Service Life: Normal service life exceeds 10 years, with low later stage maintenance workload and cost.
